The decision came in the wake of the sudden surge in cases in the state irrespective of the ongoing vaccination drive. The decision was reportedly taken because of the loss of academic hours caused to students because of school shut down. It can be noted that the schools in the state remained shut since mid-March 2020 while the majority of the educational institutes conducted online classes.
Maharashtra SSC, HSC Board Examinations 2021 are scheduled to begin from April 23, 2021.
