While the third phase of the nationwide lockdown with considerable relaxations is still in phase, situations in Maharastra started gripping out of hands with a constant increase in the number of positive cases. In the wake of the Uddhav-led state government passing an ultimatum to the private doctors, as many as 714 on-duty police personnel have tested positive in Maharashtra.
Maharastra, which now turned into an epicentre of the coronavirus spread with a massive spike recently, recently crossed the 19,000 positive cases mark with a shocking 700 deaths. The recently stood in headlines with almost 53 on-field journalists turning positive to the dreadful novel infection, the state again startled the nation while 714 police personnel have tested positive for #COVID19 in the state.
According to the recent official not released by the state health officials, 714 cops who rendered services ever since corona lockdown announced turned positive amongst which 61 recovered with 5 deaths. On the whole, there are 648 are active cases as of Saturday.
In the wake of multiple attacks on medical professionals and cops across the state, media reports revealed that there have been 194 incidents of assault on police personnel during the lockdown period & 689 accused have been arrested for the same.
