With the Government of India easing down the lockdown norms, many of the mega to small budgeted films hit back the sets while the biggest releases this year are already lined up for a box office. Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ and Amit Sharma-directorial ‘Maidan’ are the top in the list of mega budgeted films lined up the release in 2021.
Everything is fine until team Rajamouli announced the date of release of the magnum opus i.e, on October 13th which apparently irked producer Boney Kapoor. Into details, Boney Kapoor’s ‘Maidaan’ starring Ajay Devgn is also scheduled to release around the same time (October 15).
Upon which, Boney called the makers of ‘RRR’ unethical by announcing the release without prior intimation. Taking to a renowned new channel, lashed out that this should not happen in today’s times when the film industry has suffered a big financial blow owing to COVID.
Stating that team ‘RRR’ would have talked with them, Boney also claimed that Ajay Devgn who also played a key role in ‘RRR’ is miffed with Rajamouli’s decision. It can be noted that Ajay didn’t share the release day poster of ‘RRR’ while the whole team shared the poster with exiting taglines.
It was learnt that team ‘RRR; refused to respond on the issue while a few entertainment channels reached out.
