Impacting crores of users world-wide, Google services like Gmail, YouTube and Google Docs appear to be down abruptly on Monday evening. While Google Docs users are seeing the message “Google Docs encountered and error. Please try reloading this page, or coming back to it in a few minutes,” YouTube just shows its error page with a monkey and states ‘Something went wrong’ along with a search bar.
Besides which, Down Detector claims that even Google Play, Google Maps, Google Hangouts, Google Duo and Google Meet are not working for many. The angry global users took to social media channels to lash out as the first week of the week is crucial for many companies and employees.
Despite the outage reports about all consumer Google products like Gmail and YouTube, the status page for Google services right now is showing no outage, against each service. It shows a green dot, which necessarily means the services are live and working as expected.
While Google has not acknowledged anything publicly yet, YouTube via Twitter stated “We are aware that many of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now our team is aware and looking into it. We’ll update you here as soon as we have more news.”
Down Detector’s website further claims that the aforementioned services are not only facing troubles in India but in many parts of the world including parts of Europe, the United States and more.
