Days of high drama seems to end with Delhi political circles rife with reports over Congress high command finalising the candidate for Telangana PCC Chief. Information from trusted sources has it that supremo after hours of deliberation came up with MP Revanth Reddy’s name as the new TPCC chief.
While an official announcement from party’s side is likely to be made in the next two days, sources confirmed that the murky lobbying around the young leader who has been single-handedly carrying the party’s responsibilities in Telangana came to the notice of high command.
It can be noted that the race for the TPCC chief post has reached new heights with the seniors leader like Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Duddilla Sridhar Babu rushing to the nation’s capital. It has been an open secret that the party cadre is now divided into two main groups-seniors who are waiting for the chief post from many years and juniors that support working president MP Revanth Reddy’s dynamic leadership.
The vacancy existed ever since Uttam Kumar sent his resignation to the High Command after the loss of Huzurnagar by-poll. It was learnt that the high command from the beginning is clear with Revanth as their choice as the Malkajgiri MP has a good rapport with ground level party workers besides the friction from senior leaders.
