At least five persons were killed and two others injured when a man with vendetta opened fire at Annapolis, Maryland, newspaper on Thursday. As per police, he fired a long gun through the newsroom’s glass doors and at its employees.
The identities of all the victims are unknown. With this, the police heightened the security in newsrooms around the country.
As per the country’s executive, the police arrived at the spot within a minute of the reported gunfire and apprehended a single gunman found hiding under a desk in the newsroom.
As per reports, the suspected gunman was not cooperating with police investigators. Police said that he carried canisters with smoke grenades that he used inside the building.
Further investigation is underway.
