Seven people, including four children and three women, were killed in an unfortunate massive fire accident that took place in a shop-cum-residential complex in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior city on Monday. According to the reports from authorities, a few other people were learnt to be trapped in the two-storeyed building above the shop.
While seven people survived with severe injuries, one person is said to be critical. Reportedly, the blaze erupted at around 10 AM in a paint shop on Roshni Ghar road in Inderganj area which soon spread to the remaining floors. The paint stored in the shop which is inflammable made it difficult for the fire tenders.
The four children who succumbed to the flames reportedly belong to two families as misery gloomed the locality. While the officials claimed to bring the situations under control after a tough two hours of rescue operations, the cause of the fire is yet to be known.
