Endless instances of land encroachment are seen in the state of Telangana under BRS’ rule. Everyone from the level of Sarpanch to Ministers is now facing charges. Some are struggling with cases. GHMC Mayor Gadwala Vijayalakshmi has recently joined the list.
Vijayalakshmi and her younger brother Venkateswara Rao’s name is prominent in the land dispute of Pudur mandal of Vikarabad district. There is 10 acres of land in survey number 20 of Mirzapur village. The victims are complaining that now the land is going into the hands of the mayor. They are angry that too much fencing has been put up near her.
The victims are alleging that their land was taken by threatening them with a gun by removing the fencing. In 2007, a man named Prashanth Reddy was killed in this land dispute. The victims say that now they are threatening to kill them too. They urged the media to do justice. They complained that Mayor Vijayalakshmi and her younger brother Venkateswara Rao leveled the land and got it fenced with police protection.
The victims are angry about the behavior of Vijayalakshmi. They want justice. They are demanding that appropriate action be taken against the mayor who is making threats.
