While the investigation in the shocking case of Keesara MRO who was caught red-handed taking a bribe of nearly Rs 1 crore is still going on, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday trapped yet another big case of corruption in Telangana.
Into details, ACB sleuths on Wednesday caught a senior Revenue official and Additional Collector of Medak district Nagesh in action demanding over Rs 1 crore for regularising a piece of land in dispute.
ACB sources revealed that Nagesh has already taken Rs 40 lakhs from the complainant which was revealed by the cheques and crucial documents seized at Nagesh house during raids.
It was also revealed that Nagesh made an agreement with the complainant with doubt if he would hand over the remaining cash after the land registration. Agreement papers and land documents of the disputed land were also recovered from Nagesh’s house.
While the raids in Nagesh’s house will reportedly go on till Wednesday evening, sources confirmed that the additional collector will be taken into custody after the raid. Further information awaited.
