Recently, retired IAS officer Akunuri Murali made sensational remarks on the subject. Speaking exclusively to Tolivelugu, he opined that there may be truth in the news coming in the media on this subject.
Akunuri said Rajit Kumar should prove his honesty. He said the government’s failure to respond so far on the matter was leading to many suspicions. The government has demanded that a committee be set up with a retired judge to look into the matter. Even if the government orders an inquiry, he suspects that Mega Krishnareddy may influence the decisions of the committee in a way that suits him.
Sensational remarks were made that politicians and IAS officers in Telangana were sharing corrupt money together. He said that the hard work and efforts of the people of Telangana are being evicted from the country in the form of hawala due to large-scale corruption. He alleged that the officers are being given promotions on the basis of caste. He was incensed that corrupt officials were being embellished. Akunuri Murali said IAS officers were of the view that promotions would come only if they do as they were told by ministers.
It has been seven years since the formation of Telangana. Not a single IAS officer has been suspended so far. It is clear that politicians and officials are corrupt together. He added that he recently got to know that an IAS officer working in Telangana also has an account with a Swiss bank. Akunuri adds that Telangana, a state that has a revenue of Rs 1.5 lakh crore has some villages that even lack the basic facilities due to rampant corruption.

He explained that the Telangana government owes four lakh crore. Of this, Rs 2 lakh crore has been earmarked for irrigation projects. He alleged that it was the government’s idea to undertake such big projects to loot more of people’s money. If more allocations were made on education and health there would be no chance of plunder. That is why many infrastructure projects worth lakhs of crores are undertaken, said Akunuri Murali at the outset.
