Congress leader Bakka Judson said illegal mining in Abdullapur met mandal is being encouraged by minister KTR. AICC Kisan Cell Vice President Kodanda Reddy along with the farmers complained to Telangana Mining Joint Director to stop it.
According to Judson, mining companies are operating illegal mining, crushing units, ready-made, and other private chartered lands on 670 acres in Survey No. 268 of Banda Ravirala, Chinna Ravirala, Taramatipet, Desamukhi. He said that the people of the villages of Abdullahpur Met and Pochampally mandals of the state are suffering, because of the allegedly extracting of precious natural resources secretly.
Judson said that these companies are not following any rules and regulations and are working as they wish. Allegedly, concerned officials from the government have become mute spectators. He said that people who dare to question these illegal activities are being threatened. This mining mafia has no respect for the law.
Judson said that if this is not accepted, they will initiate protests in front of the Telangana Mining Office. Along with Kodanda Reddy, Sarpanch Srinivas Reddy, sociologist Indra Reddy, farmers leaders Krishna Yadav, Lingareddy, Maisaiah, and many other farmers accompanied Judson.
