With new Corona positive cases surfacing with each passing day, Andhra Pradesh is now on the list of states which needs utmost attention. While the count crossed the 300-mark, the state government has increased the number of red zones, further imposing strict rules on the citizen. Nellore has been one of such districts with 42 positive cases so far.
Meanwhile, tensions ran high in the district, with MLA and water resources minister Dr P Anil Kumar Yadav placing himself under home quarantine refusing to meet even the party cadre. Reportedly, the minister came into contact with a doctor who was later tested positive for coronavirus. The minister himself volunteered to undergo Corona tests on Monday. However, the district cadre and family members heaved a sigh of relief with the test results turning negative.
It was learnt that the hospital opening function which was attended by the infected doctor has a number of politicians and renowned persons in the district. All the attendees are reportedly under quarantine right now including the minister. Anil Kumar Yadav will remain in quarantine for the next 15 days also even as he tested negative for the infection.
