Telangana Minister Srinivas Goud is in deep trouble right now. The Election Commission is preparing to take action on complaints received alleging irregularities in the election affidavit. Srinivasa Gowda filed his nomination on 14.11.2018 during the 2018 Mahabubnagar Assembly elections. EC uploaded it on their website.
However, two days before the election results were released, a new one appeared in place of the old affidavit. Srinivasa Gowda is alleged to have uploaded the amended affidavit with Telangana EC officials to avoid being disqualified.
Srinivas Goud victims went to the Election Commission and lodged a complaint after a new one appeared in place of the old affidavit. It alleges that Kumkrai tampered with the Easy website with local election officials. Responding to the complaint, the Central Election Commission (CEC) filed a report with the Telangana State Electoral Officer. A few days after that, CEO Shashank Goyal went on transfer to the Center.
He appears to have stated in his report that the tampering was genuine. The Central Election Commission is conducting an inquiry with a technical team internally based on the report. If it turns out to be true, there is a possibility of taking action under IPC and IT laws.
