For a week, a discussion about Congress MLA Jaggareddy moving to TRS has been going on. Jaggareddy finally cleared the air by penning a letter to the Congress supremacies President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, party in-charges Manikyam Thakur, and Venugopal. In the letter he stated that he isn’t getting the respect he deserves in his party and for those reasons he is leaving the party.
Getting into the details about the situation in Congress, he highlighted that anyone who lobbies can become the PCC president. Added that he will soon resign as PCC executive president and send another letter to the party. He said that he did not want to go to another party as it will ruin his reputation of being faithful to a party, but stated that he didn’t want to be disrespected in his own party and still be part of it.
Earlier, Jaggareddy was approached by PCC general secretary Bolli Kishan and V Hanumantrao. They advised him not to leave the party. Bolli Kishan even fell on his feet, begging to stay and fight against the government.
Revanth Reddy responded to the Jaggareddy issue, stated that it is a sensitive situation. He commented that it is a family issue and families generally have problems within which will be resolved by the members of the family itself in time. He said that Congress has deep democratic values and the party will recover from any wound. He added that the media shouldn’t sensationalize this incident. Targeting KCR and TRS, he opined that TRS must be waiting to see Congress fall apart.
