Telangana High Court gave another shock to SIT. The SIT was dealt a blow in the case of baiting BRS MLAs. The High Court on Monday dismissed the revision petition filed by the SIT challenging the ACB court’s dismissal of the SIT memo. BL Santosh, Jagguswamy, Tushar, and Srinivas were included as accused in the case, the SIT memo said. But the SIT momo was recently rejected by the ACB court. With this, the SIT went to the High Court against the judgment of the ACB court.
However, the High Court also dismissed the SIT revision petition. Meanwhile, the High Court has already transferred the investigation of the MLA purchase case from SIT to CBI. No appeal was filed on behalf of the government.
In this order, the High Court upheld the decision of the ACB court in the case of the memo, which filed an SIT naming BL Santosh, Jagguswamy, Tushar, and Srinivas as the proposed accused, which has become a hot topic.
As part of this case, four persons including BJP leader BL Santosh were acquitted. The High Court extended the stay on the SIT investigation against Jagguswamy, Tushar, and Srinivas. The stay on CRPC 41A notices for four persons including BL Santosh has been extended till January 23. The High Court questioned that the CBI’s intervention is there and it doesn’t need SIT to involve in this case anymore. The counsel for the petitioners sought an extension of the stay as the execution would be in suspension until the judgment is taken by each government. With this, the High Court extended a stay till January 23.
