After its victory in 2014, TRS emerged into an unopposed force in Telangana with a slew of victories in all local elections. Rewriting history the party set up a government for the second time in the state while the party supremo KCR assumed office as Chief Minister for the second time.
However, things are not the same for the ‘pink’ party after two years with BJP going all odds to strengthen its roots in the state. After a series of humiliating losses in the recent polls, the political analysts now opine that the upcoming MLC will be a nightmare for TRS.
Though the party fathomed victory in a couple of places, it was with a close majority hinting over adverse future as the opponents BJP and Congress are slowly gaining strength. Huzurabad by-poll is one such example where the party faced humiliating results despite numerous strategies and dispersing crores of money.
As polling for the six MLC seats in Telangana under the quota of local bodies will be held on December 10, party sources confirmed that the supremo is busy nullifying the discontentment among party leaders and public representatives especially ZPTC and MPTCs.

Ahead of MLC polls, KCR has already sent the public representatives of their local organizations to the camps to make sure they don’t switch loyalties with opponents. KCR is also learned to allocate funds for the financially distressed MPTCs and ZPTCs and hold reviews to please them.
Many opined this to be out of insecurity that the party will lose in the upcoming elections leaving yet another scare for the ruling TRS.
