The incident has not only let his followers know how active Modi is on social media but has also has gained him a good following. He has set a new age government, integrating technology and social media into governance bridging the unwritten gap with the citizen. Now, Modi has become the most followed political in the country.
However, Modi on Monday gave a shock of sorts to his followers, hinting that he might quit social media. Taking to his official Twitter account, Modi announces that he is contemplating quitting social media accounts. By the time his dedicated fans fizzled out, the most influential leader who has been enjoying 53.3 million followers, cleared the air stating that this would be away for only the coming Sunday.

Kickstarted a new healthy trend is not new to Modi who recently brought ‘Plogging’ into the limelight by picking up plastic waste at the Chennai beach. Seems like Modi is now kickstarting social media detox trend which is a new scenario.
In less than half an hour, the set garnered almost 14,000 reactions while 9,000 Twitter users shared the tweet. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a dig at the Prime Minister’s post asking him to rather give up on hatred than social media.
