The YSRCP party is reportedly ready with the list of candidates for the four Rajya Sabha seats. With the Election Commission releasing the notification, the state politics heated up with various theories around Chief Minister Jagan and a few leaders speculated to grab the seats. According to the YSRCP sources, Jagan and his team are ready with the names which would be announced by Monday evening. Though an official announcement is yet to be made, local and national media is now rife with the reports.
The list of the four candidates resumed significance with Jagan government’s controversial decision to sack the legislative Assembly and Industry giant Mukesh Ambani making a visit to Undavalli residence. While the two seats were already allotted to Incumbent Deputy CM Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Minister of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Marketing Mopidevi Venkataramana, Ayodya Rami Reddy is the other member who was finalised for one of the four seats.
Meanwhile, the fourth seat landed at Ambani’s close aide Parimal Nathwani who has been twice elected for MP (Rajya Sabha) from Jharkhand, as expected. It is to the known knowledge that the Business tycoon met with the Chief Minister Jagan alongside Parimal which set ripples in the state politics. Jagan was rumoured to trade over the Rajya Sabha seat with a few crucial investments. However, the list is said to come as a disappointment to TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy who expected the seat.
