Former IAS officer Akunuri Murali demanded that the counting of votes in the Munugodu by-elections should be stopped. He alleged that in the past, various parties had distributed money separately and tempted the voters. He tweeted to this effect.
He said that voters themselves are saying that BJP and TRS distributed money to them. It is said that the evidence in this regard is in the form of videos on social media. In those videos, the ruling TRS gave them Rs. 5000, saying so, he said that voters are saying very clearly that the BJP had given Rs 5000.
It is claimed that the evidence for these is very much open in the public domain. He said that he has sent these to the Central Election Commission as well as the Chief Election Officer of the State on Twitter. But no action was taken against them.
He said that TRS and BJP made a mockery of democracy in the past. Therefore, he demanded that the Munugodu by-election be canceled and the counting stopped immediately. He asked what happened to the police and central government inspectors if a huge amount of cash was being distributed.
