While the Corona cases continued to take a toll on the country’s health care scenario, a mysterious viral fever that is spread in various districts of Uttar Pradesh raised tensions in the state.
In an official statement, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday confirmed that 32 children and seven adults had died so far with the mysterious dengue-like fever.
Principal and Dean of the Autonomous State Medical Hospital Dr Sangeeta Aneja said that common symptoms of the disease include diarrhea, vomiting, and high fever.
While the government ordered to dedicate separate wards for the viral fever cases in government hospitals, some of the districts in western Uttar Pradesh, including Mathura, Firozabad and Mainpuri, have witnessed a spike in cases from the past few days.
As close to 200 children were receiving treatment at the government hospital, various districts that registered viral fever cases announced a shut down of schools for students of Classes one to eight for a week.
