Hinting that equations took a drastic change after JanaSena joined hands with BJP, Mega brother Naga Babu on Tuesday hit the buzz with his tweet erasing Nathuram Godse, the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi. On the occasion of Godse’s 120th birth anniversary, Naga Babu called him a patriot and clarified that he changed his prospect towards him after a complete study on Godse’s life.
“Godse was a true patriot. It is debatable whether his act of killing Gandhi was right or wrong but no media in his day presented his version and his point of view. Instead, they were subjected to the government’s views. The scene remains the same, even today,” tweeted Naga Babu.
While Naga Babu’s tweet has apparently put Jana Sena party and Pawan Kalyan in a hugely embarrassing situation, it also left him in a new fix. Besides leaders like Telangana AICC Secretary V Hanumanth Rao and Telangana firebrand lady Vijaya Shanthi lambasting Naga Babu, the Mega brother is now booked under for allegedly defaming Mahatma Gandhi. TPCC Secretary General of State Koduri Manuvatharai lodged a complaint at the OU Police Station on Wednesday.
