There are a very few heroes on Telugu film industry who goes out of the box to experiment with different scripts. Though coming from a well-established family with aeons of fans across the country, Naga Chaitanya, tried to be experimental right from his first movie ‘Josh’. Known to be a warm and down to earth actor, Chay never backed off in confronting that his father Nagarjuna plays a crucial role in scrip selection. But did this start irking the young hero now?
Chay who is now all busy wrapping up Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Love Story’ alongside Sai Pallavi said that it is his dream come true to work with such a talented cast and crew. He also stated that he was happy with how the script came out. However, sources revealed that the film has a tragic climax where Naga Chaitanya’s character dies. And this didn’t go well with Nagarjuna who is now reportedly persuading Chay and Sekhar to change the script.
It is a known fact that Nagarjuna played a vital role in changing the script of ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa’ which was remade as ‘Em Maaya Chesave’ as it has an anti-climax. In an interview, Nag supported his point saying that, a tragic climax for a love story never went well with Telugu audiences. Is this the same logic behind Nag’s disappointment with ‘Love Story’ script.
