Despite the central government leaving the ultimate decision to the state government over opening theatres for regular shows, many states were still contemplating to wave the green flag. While neighbouring Andhra Pradesh was ahead regarding the decision, the Telangana government recently allowed the theatres and multiplexes to premier the shows.
However, the decision came as bittersweet news for the film industry and theatre owners with no new movies for the release. Seems like the first two weeks will mostly see re-runs of pre-lockdown movies which would also help to reinstate consumer confidence and assuring them about safety.
Amidst which even bada heroes are opting for the OTT releases. Joining the list of films waiting for the OTT release, Nagarjuna’s upcoming film ‘Wild Dog’ has reportedly closed a whopping deal with OTT king Netflix. Sources at Netflix confirmed that the platform has acquired the digital streaming rights of the action thriller for a record amount.
Directed by debutant Ashishor Solomon, the highly awaited action-thriller also features Bollywood actors Dia Mirza, Saiyami Kher and Atul Kulkarni.
