In an industry infested with nepotism, it is a rare feat to build a career from being a nobody. Probably only a handful of them achieved this stardom and Natural Star Nani is surely one the huge success stories.
Nani, who had nothing but talent to bring to the Tollywood has come a long way. From being an assistant director to a top actor, his saaga is inspiring to many. Even after earning the well deserved attention, this ‘natural star’ decided to try one more craft of film making and donned the producers’ hat for a very experimental film ‘Aaa’. While everyone thought this demonstrates his love for the filmdom, he is now going a step ahead. His next filck directed by Vikram Kumar Gang Leader is ready to hit the theaters shortly. While most heroes shy away from sharing screen space with good performers, Nani is acting along side in RX100 hero Karthikeya in this movie. Karthikeya plays the antagonist in this much awaited film. While this experiment is on track, it is said that Nani is ready for the next. He is going to star in a film called ‘V’.
The talk in the tinsel town is that V is a remake of the much appreciated Bollywood film Andhadhun. Nani will play the character of Ayushman Khurana, who is a visually challenged person implicated in a murder case. Andhadhun which had Ayushman, Tabu and Radhika Apte as the main cast was critically acclaimed. Ayushman went on to win the National Award in the best actor category for this film. Nani reprising this role of visually impaired ‘hero’ is a huge risk considering how we have conditioned ourselves to a certain image of the male protagonist. Will Nani’s experiment be an ‘eye’ opener for others… only the box office will tell.
