A roll of relaxations and guidelines has come as a boon to the citizen, tipplers in specific who thronged at the retail wine shops. In the wake of the central government announcing the third lockdown extension, the vexed citizen took to social media to vent out their frustration while a few responsible netizens came to government’s decision.
While the positives cases continued to spike across the country, political circles are rife with speculations that the Modi-led government is setting grounds for yet another extension. If this information is to be believed, the government is planning to extend the lockdown until June 1st with further relaxations and guidelines. A few of the political analysts opined that transporting the stranded migrants and students is a part of this Lockdown 4.0 plan.
“As of now, there is no question of lifting the lockdown in metros. In fact, with the rising numbers, there may be a need to tighten restrictions,” the report quoted a state government official as saying. A lockdown extension would mean that restrictions on local trains, buses, shops and establishments may continue to remain till at least June.
It was reported that health experts and officials in the extensive meeting called have emphasised on increasing positive cases and stricter guidelines. Seems like Modi and team are now busy chalking out an economic revival plan in the wake of the plummeting economy.
