With the rumours over Telangana Chief Minister KCR floating a national party intensifying, TRS chief jumped into scene issuing a clarification Monday.
Stating that there is no proposal in near future to float a national party, KCR refuted the reports published by certain sections of the media.
Addressing Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) legislators in a meeting held to discuss the party’s strategy on Monday, KCR was learnt to state that a decision would be taken at the right time after discussion.
However, what grabbed the attention of many is that the Chief Minister did not rule out such a proposal and further, pressed on the need for such an alternative party.
It can be recalled that KCR in 2018 held a series of talks with Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee, Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal chief Naveen Patnaik, Janata Dal-Secular leader and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and DMK chief MK Stalin to form an alliance against BJP.
