In a shocking helicopter crash that took place in California, NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna were killed along with seven others on Sunday. According to the reports, the 42-year-old star along with college baseball coach’s family is travelling from Newport Beach, California to the Staples Centre in Los Angeles while the crash took place at around 8 PM. Though there was no clear update regarding the number of people aboard for the last few hours, Los Angeles County sheriff on Monday confirmed the news stating that the crash site was difficult to access and that firefighters had to hike to the area which apparently delayed the rescue operations.
Reports stated that the attempts to pull bodies out of the wreckage were hampered by the brush fire which broke out following the crash. While the investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board will carry out an investigation into the crash, a few of the officials speculated the helicopter overload as the reason behind. On this note, the social media poured out with condolence messages over the death of NBA legend. The President of US Donald Trump joined the mourning fans across the world through Twitter. Hollywood celebrities, sports personalities and politicians shared their fond memories on social media.
Kobe Bryant, despite being one of the truly great basketball players of all time, was just getting started in life. He loved his family so much, and had such strong passion for the future. The loss of his beautiful daughter, Gianna, makes this moment even more devastating….
