Taking the cue from the roll of successes of the anthology shows in Hindi and Tamil, Netflix India on Wednesday has announced its first Telugu Original, ‘Pitta Kathalu’.
The anthology stood as the topic of discussion in the industry with four talented directors-Tharun Bhascker, BV Nandini Reddy, Nag Ashwin and Sankalp Reddy helming the short stories.

The show reportedly revolves around the lives of four distinctly bold women played by Eesha Rebba, Lakshmi Manchu, Amala Paul and Shruti Haasan. ‘Pitta Kathalu’ also stars Ashima Narwal, Jagapathi Babu, Satya Dev, Saanve Megghana, Sanjith Hegde among many other well-known names.
It can be noted that Sandeep Reddy Vanga was supposed to direct one segment but he opted out following creative differences. Netflix most recently released “Paava Kadhaigal”, a four-part anthology movie from filmmakers Sudha Kongara, Gautham Menon, Vetrimaaran and Vignesh Shivan.
