Telangana Chief Minister KCR participated in Adivasi Banjara Sammelan a few days ago and announced a Girijana Bandhu scheme (for tribals). KCR promised to increase reservations for tribals and provide assistance to STs who have no basis through Rs 10 lakh tribal kinship scheme.
But former IAS Akunuri Murali responded on Twitter about the assurances given by KCR. “When is BC bandhu, when is minorities bandhu dear CM? In BC too, there are poor people among the minorities. Schemes should be put on the basis of poverty, CM, not on the basis of caste. However, the administration does not exist,” he said. Netizens are also lashing out at the criticism of the CM by saying, “5 lakhs from Dalit Bandhu’s beneficiary and 5 lakhs from MLAs and their henchmen.”
A netizen made a comment and satirized by saying, “There is no direction for Dalit bandhu here. Will you give any other bandhu as well?” If the income is Rs 1.5 lakh then the Dalit relative should be given.
Someone also questioned the authenticity of the people in MRO writing an income on the certificate with apparently no basis at all. They also criticized that in the MRO offices, they are giving lakhs of income even to those who have no income.
