Crime Bureau, Tolivelugu: There are elections in Telangana in a few months. This time is especially prestigious for BRS. KCR is planning to win for the third time. At this time, a discussion is going on in the BRS party due to the death of Cantonment MLA Sayanna. It is reported that a list of leaders with health problems is being prepared. This time, there is a chance to consider this issue in ticket allotment. In 2020, Solipeta Ramalingareddy (58) and Nomula Narsimhaiah (64) died after winning from the BRS party. Sayanna passed away recently. With this, it is reported that tickets are thinking to base this point also in the upcoming general elections. In Mulugu district, former minister Chandulal was a strong candidate but could not return due to illness. Now in many constituencies, the health care of MLAs is seen like that. Even though KCR won by a decent margin, he could not appear in public after that and he is suffering from health problems. All the programs are being handed over to heirs and private assistants but they are not able to prepare party followers and mass leaders. There is a rumor that even if someone steps forward, cases are filed against them and efforts are being made to trample them. Allegations are being heard that even though he is ill, he is not supporting the growth of his own party leaders.
Four people in the city
Three MLAs in Hyderabad are facing health problems. But, they are not all coming out. If there are government and party programs, they come and attend in full force. Mushirabad MLA Mutha Gopal is haunted by a kidney problem. His son Mutha Jayasimha is taking care of everything himself. Before Sayanna’s death, her daughter, BRS corporator Lasya Nandita, ran everything behind the scenes. Khairatabad MLA Dana Nagender had a brain stroke three years ago. He was treated in the hospital for 8 months. There are accusations against Dana that he takes care of himself and does not allow anyone to grow in the party politically. When Vijaya Reddy’s health deteriorated, they checked in every program whether the BRS party would ever give him a ticket. In addition to this, complaints were made to the management. Even if he wins as a corporator, if the mayor or deputy mayor gives him the MLA ticket, then he has put a brake on it. Manne Govardhan Reddy’s wife Kavitha, who has been in the movement since 2001, is being trampled whenever she shows enthusiasm.
There are also reports that the health of Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath is not cooperating. He was treated for 15 days in the hospital with a mild stroke. Followers say that they have taken a lot of precautions to prevent this from happening. They participated in the Republic Day program on January 26 to check the ongoing campaign and left immediately. There is talk that he is not allowing new leaders to join the constituency. They are limiting the corporators to that area. Former Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin is like an MLA. One or two corporators are ready to grow into mass. Acquaintances are increasing in the respective divisions as well as others. But Gopinath doesn’t like all this. That’s why, locally, no one else is given a chance. The leaders of the party are whispering that they are keeping people like Sridhar Reddy or USF Guda corporator CN Reddy from appearing. Will all of them withstand the tension of communal hatred of BJP leaders by the time of the elections? The extent to which health problems are pushed has become a hot topic.
Surveys on the capacities of local leaders
It seems that BRS is planning to give opportunities to young leaders. Politically, 70 percent of the descendants were not successful. Being financially strong and participating in service programs, they are also planning to be invited to the party. They are taking the message that opportunities will come after the re-division of constituencies. In the past, the focus was on the strong leaders of other parties, but now some nominated positions will be given to the new generation of the own party and the second cadre leaders of other parties. Along with this, it is reported that a health survey of the leaders is also considered necessary.
