Another dispute has come to the fore between the central government and the state government of Telangana. The release of funds for smart cities is causing a dispute between the two state governments. The central government is accusing the Telangana government of not releasing the state government’s share even though they are releasing the funds under their share.
Greater Warangal and Karimnagar in Telangana have been selected under the Center’s Smart Cities Mission as they will not be able to release funds if the Telangana government’s attitude remains the same.
According to the guidelines of the Smart City Mission, the cities selected as Smart Cities will have to give 500 crores from the Center and 500 crores from the Telangana State Government.
The projects in the cities selected as smart cities will be completed on June 23 this year. Telangana is the only state in the country that has not given the money due to the state government to the cities selected as smart cities, according to the Union Ministry of Housing, Urban Development, and Urban Development. And let’s see how the Telangana government will respond to this.
