Tensions ran high in Hyderabad with a woman who returned from Britain testing positive for COVID with a new variant’s symptoms. While 325 people returned from abroad so far, only one woman got positive.
Health Director Srinivasa Rao said that samples were sent to the Genome Sequence. Srinivasa Rao informed that the woman who got positive was rushed to TIMS Hospital and that the travelers who tested negative was instructed to take the COVID test a week later.
