With hours left for the most awaited execution in Nirbhaya case, the four convicts Akshay Singh, Pawan Gupta, Mukesh Singh and Vinay Sharma have been exhausting all the legal remedies from the past few days. Including which, the jail authorities will arrange a mulakaath for the four convicts with their respective family members. This will be the last time the four convicts will be allowed to meet and touch their beloved family members before the execution.
According to the sources from Tihar Jail, three convicts have already met their family members on Thursday. However, it was learnt that Akshay is yet to meet his family. Over which a few of the media houses reported that the family members of Akshay who recently wrote to the President requesting mercy death, have refused to meet. Meanwhile, rumours that Akshay is morally low and is avoiding any social interrelation upon which he even refused to meet the family members also.
It was also learnt that the family members who met the convicts so far has broken down in the jail and a few of the officials consoled them. From the past few months, the families are being allowed for their weekly interactions with the convicts, but no separate, one-to-one meeting is permitted. On the verge of the convicts approaching the International Court for justice, media and legal analysts speculated another postponement of the execution.
