NITI Aayog, the think tank and the brainchild of Modi-led government sealed its office in New Delhi on Tuesday on an abrupt note. Reportedly, the decision was taken after a director-level officer tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. The building in the National Capital would remain sealed for the next three days while the sanitation team reached to the office premises to disinfect the premises.
It was informed that the efforts are on to trace the employees and others who may have come in contact with the infected employee. “NITI Aayog is following all the due protocols necessary as per the Ministry of Health guidelines. The building has been sealed,” read the post tweeted by NITI Aayog official handle. This came close on the heels of an employee of the Supreme Court testing positive for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, there are 3,108 confirmed coronavirus cases in Delhi including 54 deaths while 877 have recovered after getting infected to COVID-19, as per health ministry’s figures released on Tuesday.
