While Chief Minister KCR has been busy chanting that the land value in Telangana state is soaring like anything, on the other hand, the land encroachment activities are rising exponentially in all forms at a worrying rate. At present, the aggressive expansion of VNR educational institutions’ lands in the Bachupally area has become a topic of discussion. The institution was supposed to be on only 36 acres, but now, it is spread over 50 acres. Looking at this, Nizampeta Corporation BJP president Akula Satish has expressed suspicions on the management. He lodged a complaint with several high-ranking officials, including the Collector.
According to the BJP, VNR premises should only be in 36 acres as per college/school records. But at present, the gradual expansion caused it to spread 50 acres in total, with 14 acres in excess. The ceiling land right next to the government-owned land is illegally acquired by VNR, where illegal constructions were undertaken. To everyone’s surprise, the construction was also sanctioned by HMDA officials. Analysts are wondering how it all became possible.
In 2015, Kutbullapur MRO issued notices to seize 1.36 acres of government land which was unsuccessful in implementation. At this moment, it is affirmed that the authorities verify the additional space, survey it, and demolish the illegal structures. A case must be registered with the police. An Action must be taken against HMDA officials who have given false permits. In addition, the property tax payable to the municipal corporation is also not fully paid. All matters should be investigated and full-fledged action must be taken.
The problem initially came to the limelight after BJP leader Satish has lodged a complaint with the Municipal, Revenue, HMDA officials, and the Collector over the illegal acquisition. He urged the authorities to take appropriate action. Along with Aakula Satish, there were many BJP leaders and activists at the incident.
