It has been evident that KCR-led state government heeds to none including the High Court. While the national media including the MPs have been expressing discontent over the way KCR and his team are handling the pandemic, state High Court on Monday went furious yet again.
Questioning why the government is struggling to put the facts together, the High Court stated that the state government is dishonouring the judicial system on the whole. “The government and officials were observed to consistently disobey the court’s orders to furnish required date before the court,” said High Court.
Furious over the lack of transparency in releasing medical health bulletins, the court also stated that data on the availability of beds, ventilators, oxygen facilities in the COVID hospitals still remained pending.
“It seems like the government has no respect for the courts and the judicial system. Is the government trying to hide or manipulate the data..?” asked the High Court.
While the state chief secretary and principal secretaries of the medical, health and municipal administration departments are already instructed to appear before the court on July 28, the court sought a detailed report regarding the protective gear provided to medical staff and the tests being conducted per day.
This came close on the heels of state health minister making shocking statements over the mortality rate in the state. He has officially announced that they are not including the corona deaths of the patents who are already suffering from chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
