Non-stop protests… farmers on the road…!
Rajanna Sircilla district farmers are on the road. They have conducted a ‘rasta roko’ program on the Vemulawada-Korutla Main Road at Mudapalli of Chandurthi Mandal against the non-buying of grain. Resulting in, a huge, traffic jam. Upon receipt of the information, Police arrived on the scene and tried in vain to pacify the farmers…who are adamant and demanded the intervention of the District Collector. The farmers went on to continue with their ‘rasta roko’ by sitting on the road. The farmers lamented, that already they were deceived by nature and bearing a lot of loss and NOW…the Government is also pushing them to difficulties without buying their grain produce and neglecting them.

On the other hand, farmers resorted to ‘Dharna’ at Boinpally Square demanding the immediate purchase of grain at Boinpally Mandal Kendra. The farmers alleged that the officials stopped buying the grain by giving excuses like the shortage of the supply of Lorries for the past week…in addition; the farmers also complained that they continue to trouble them by cutting five kilos on the price in the name of depreciation.

Meanwhile, in Jagityal District…the farmers of Mokkatrav Peta staged a protest in front of the house of Velgatoor BRS leader, and PACS Chairman Goli Ratnakar. They questioned the Chairman on stopping the purchase of grain. The heated discussion between the farmers and the Chairman went on for two hours. The farmers demanded the immediate resumption of buying of grain.
The farmers worried that due to the non-arrival of Lorries, the grain bags were at the grain-buying centers only. They also expressed their anger as neither the officials nor the leaders are bothered. However, the Chairman immediately called on the Civil Supplies Officials over the phone and expressed his anger at them.
