Prime Minister Modi is coming to Telangana. According to the protocol, CM KCR should take the responsibility of welcoming him to the state. But, the recent update from the CMO states that instead of chief minister, minister Talasani Srinivas will welcome Narendra Modi to Telangana. However, many versions of the reasons behind this are emerging from the CM office.
It is well known that three days ago, CM KCR made some insulting remarks on the Prime Minister and Finance minister regarding the union budget. To KCR’s brutal comments, BJP leaders counterattacked in their own style. At a juncture like this, seeing the Prime Minister visiting Telangana has become a curious thing for the people and politicians. A question about CM welcoming him as per the protocol has been surfacing the media headlines since the budget day. The debate got bigger and the CMO eventually announced that Talasani has taken the duty of receiving the Prime Minister.
In fact, earlier, we have seen KCR stating that he will welcome the Prime Minister to the state and discuss the issues with him personally. Post the press meet, TRS sources also affirmed that the CM will follow the protocol and do his duties despite the different ideologies he shares with the PM. With all these comments made by KCR in public, people assumed that PM’s visit to the state will be smooth until Talasani’s name surfaced.
It is believed that TRS strategically took this decision since they don’t want people and the opposition to think that KCR’s comments against the center during the press meet are a sham. Meanwhile, there is another perspective to this announcement that indicates KCR received definite instructions from Delhi not to face the Prime Minister after passing such derogatory comments against him in public.
