The privilege motion notice was given by Congress Member of Parliament, K C Venugopal.

While speaking in the Lok Sabha, on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked why Congress party is hesitant to use Nehru’s name. Modi alleged that in order to dislodge the non-congress governments of the day, Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi used Article 356.
To dislodge the state governments, Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi used Article 356 more than 90 times and out of which Indira Gandhi used the Article 50 times.
