Kathi Mahesh landed himself in trouble yet again. This time the film critic irked certain Hindu organisations and bakts who raised serious objections over his recent comments. The matter escalated fast with Hyderabad cyber crime police reached to Katho Mahesh residence and took him into custody on Friday.
Into details, Kathi Mahesh reportedly shared an objectionable post on Lord Shri Ram on social media which hurt the religious beliefs of several Hindu organisations. With the number of complaints piling up, the Cyber Crime cops jumped into action for an inquiry.
The film critic who also started playing less prominent characters was shifted to Osmania General Hospital (OGH) where the doctors conducted coronavirus tests. He was later produced before the Nampally court while the court awarded 14-day judicial remand to Mahesh.
It can be noted that minutes before the arrest Kathi Mahesh posted a Facebook message condemning cybercrime police’s arrest. “I really wonder what did police do so far about a life threatening physical attack by some goons on 14th February,2020 on me at Imax theatre. In this country so called religious sentiments are more important than life threatening attacks. So much for freedom of expression,” he wrote.
