Calling the speculations true, he Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday issued summons to four Bollywood leading actresses in connection with the drug cartel in the industry. In the line of summons issued, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shradhha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh will be grilled by the NCB sleuths over the WhatsApp chats related to procuring drugs.
While Sara Ali Khan, Shradhha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh’s names were reportedly disclosed by Rhea Chakraborty, the main accused in actor Sushant’s death case, Deepika Padukone’s name emerged in the WhatsApp chats of manager Karishma Prakash.
WhatsApp chats dating back to 2017 have been found in Padukone’s case, with her manager Karishma was asked of drugs which left social media in baffled.
On the other hand, the cartel touched Tollywood as well with news of Namrata Shirodkar’s name specified in the chats while NCB officials already summoned producer and KWAN talent management agency co-founder Madhu Mantena in connection with the drug racket.
Actor Dia Mirza’s name also came up in the drugs controversy, and she was quick to take to social media to clarify. Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Shahid Kapoor are among the celebrities who are now facing allegations over drug party hosted by director Karan Johar.
