Further heating up the poll buzz, Professor Kodandaram on Monday put an end to the speculation announcing that he would contest from Nalgonda-Warangal-Khammam graduates constituency in the MLC elections.
Seeking support of Congress, TDP, CPM, CPI and Telangana Inti Party, the Telangana Jana Samithi(TJS) Chief would make his electoral debut as the consensus candidate of almost all the opposition parties to defeat the TRS from this MLC seat. While the above parties are yet to confirm their support to Kodandaram, it turned interesting if Congress that rejected affiliation with TJS would support the leader.
It can be noted that the tenure of the candidates elected from Khammam-Warangal-Nalgonda and Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar will end by March 29, 2021. Despite the bitter experience in the 2018 election results, in general Prof. Kodandaram enjoys a good following among students, intellectuals, teachers, unemployed and employees.
