With the ever-increasing corona cases across the state, Hyderabad, Telangana is now in the grip of the pandemic. Further confirming the information disclosed in these reports, health official of the state confirmed that the city reached to Stage-3 Community Transmission stage.
Confirming this alarming news, Telangana Health Director Srinivasa Rao urged the citizen to be careful in the next four to five weeks which is reportedly the peak stage of the pandemic.
The state health authorities are said to pass instructions to that ground-level officials to educate the citizen to refrain from testing if they have no significant symptoms. But what does reaching to stage-3 mean..?
This is the stage when things get quite blurry. In the community transmission phase, the source of infection cannot be identified and the virus spreads across regions and becomes hard to manage even with targeted, extensive lockdowns.
At this stage, a patient is infected though he had no known contact with another confirmed case of COVID-19 or travelled from a country affected by the pandemic.
And in the next fourth phase, the spread becomes massive across geographies, demographics and is uncontrollable. The disease then becomes endemic.
