Adding one more to several hats that director Raghavendra Rao donned including choreographer and costume designer, the 78-year-old star director who recently announced his directorial comeback with ‘Pelli SandhaD’ announced his acting debut.
The project which is being directed by noted actor and dialogue writer Tanikella Bharani was announced a few months back will star Samantha Akkineni, Shriya Saran and Ramya Krishnan in lead roles. According to the latest buzz, the movie was titled ‘Oh Babu’ which is yet to be made official.
Sources close to Bharani and Dharshakendra revealed that the movie will be a light-hearted one with a social message. It was learnt that though Bharani is director, the whole story sittings and other technicalities like screenplay and music will have Raghavendra Rao’s touch in them.
Adding strength to the rumours, sources confirmed that Raghavendra Rao was spotted with Tanikella Bharani, Keeravani, Chandrabose and dance master have had special sittings at a resort in Hyderabad- the same ‘Dharshakendra’ way. If everything goes well, the unit will start shooting from February 2021 after Raghavendra Rao warps up shooting ‘Pelli SandaD’ remake.
