All thanks to Gaurav Wasan, a YouTuber, an elderly couple that sells home-cooked meals who couldn’t meet their ends has now the support of whole nation. Into details, social media on Thursday trended with a video of a tearful story of an eighty-year-old Kanta Prasad, the owner of small kiosk ‘Baba ka Dhaba’ in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar.
Prasad who cook the food along with his wife is one of the millions who lost their income due to the lockdown. “Ever since the lockdown, life has been very difficult”, Prasad said in the video showing a thin bundle of Rs 10 notes from a box. However, things changed for the oldage couple after Gaurav Wasan, through his Instagram account welcomed his followers to raise donations for them.
He also mentioned that he has been working at the food joint since 1988 and doesn’t want to give up on something he loves. The video of the teary-eyed old man and his wife indeed moved the nation hours after which the kiosk witnessed an overwhelming throng.

It also prompted an outpouring of support from people, including celebrities and political leaders, all of whom sought to support the couple. As the video went viral, AAP MLA Somnath Bharti also visited the stall. “Will take care of them n I am starting a drive 2 take care of similarly placed people,” he wrote.
