With the festive season right around, India in the last 24 hours reported a total of 415 Omicron cases, the Health Ministry confirmed. As per the official report, the country has reported at least 115 have recoveries while Maharashtra has the highest number of Omicron infections with 108 cases followed by Delhi.
Meanwhile, India’s Covid-19 caseload jumped to 3,47,79,815 with 7,189 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, while the death toll climbed to 4,79,520 with 387 more fatalities, according to the data updated at 8 am. The number of people who have recovered from the disease surged to 3,42,23,263, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.38%.
