Rajahmundry: The boat accident at Kachuluru mandham which left the state in shock, took the lives of almost 50 innocent people. Even after a month, the scars left by the horrifying accident remained with 15 bodies still to be recovered. Though the Kakinada-based company Balaji Marines started the operation to retrieve the boat, it went in vain due to heavy flow of floodwater. However, with the decrease in the flow, Captain Aadhi Narayana and his team of 10 members have again kickstarted the operation two days back, and the team successfully drew out the front part of the ‘Royal Vasishta Punnami’ which was in a devastated state.
The marine divers who dived deep into the water at the spot and has estimated that the front part of the boat was at the depth of 35 feet and the rear was at 70 feet deep. With the help of Dharmadi Satyam’s team, the marine divers pulled out the front part of the boat with the help of huge proclainer. In the process, the team has found an unidentified dead body with black jeans and a white T-shirt which was sent for body identification.
