Beside blistering attacks on the ruling YSRCP government over the officials tracking no leads in the Antarvedi chariot fire accident, the main opposition on Saturday announced that it would hold protests in the next few days at the renowned temples across the state.
Announcing the same, former MLA Bonda Uma in a press meet called onto the TDP supporters across the state to participate in the protests for the next one week against the attacks on Hindu temples from the past 15 months.
“It is our duty to protect the Hindu temples. It can be noted that the frequency of the attack drastically increased after Jagan assumed the office,” Bonda Uma said condemning the chariot fire accident at Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple.
On this note, the former board member of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam and national spokesperson of TDP also released the schedule of week-long protests. “We will protest in front of Suryadevelayams, temples of Lord Shiva, Hanuman, Ayyappa, Sai Baba, Goddess Durga and Lord Venkatesa in accordance to the day they were worshipped across the state,” he stated.
Meanwhile, AP Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas Rao warned that strict action will be taken against the protesters who cause inconvenience to the devotees. Followed by the call, security at the hill shrine of Tirumala has been heightened. It was also learnt that Tirupati urban district was beefed up security at all 656 temples in the city.
