Hyderabad: After a busy schedule campaigning in Maharastra for the Assembly elections, Owaisi seems to concentrate on Telangana politics now. Addressing a gathering in Hyderabad on Saturday, the MP and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi requested the RTC employees to call off the strike and to consider Chief Minister’s offer. Reacting for the first time on the indefinite strike by the TSRTC employees, Owaisi urged them to be brave and not to kill themselves. “Do not fall in the trap of BJP and Congress leaders. Please resolve issues with the CM and accept his proposal. This is our land and we don’t deserve this pain,” he said.
Hours after KCR announced the privatisation of 5,100 bus routes, Owaisi urged the Chief Minister to retain the letter ‘Z’ on the number plates of the buses. “I urge Chief Minister to not to remove ’Z’ in the number plates of RTC buses, as it comes from the name of Zehra, the mother of Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam of Hyderabad. It is a part of Hyderabad’s history,” he added.
