All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) under the leadership of Asaduddin Owaisi is planning to organize a massive march in Hyderabad against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Taking to his official Twitter account, the Muslim leader stated that he has urged the Hyderabad police to grant them permission on January 4th or 5th. He also revealed that they have proposed the police three routes, including one from Darussalam to Eidgah Bilali & one from Charminar to Dharna Chowk. Close sources revealed that the team has been stressing the chief to opt for the march from Darussalam as the headquarters of AIMIM was situated in this area.
I’d made an application to @CPHydCity, on 20th Dec for protest march. We’d proposed 3 possible routes, including one from Darussalam to Eidgah Bilali & one from Charminar to Dharna Chowk. We request that our application for protest march on 4th or 5th Jan be considered & accepted

On the other hand, the Joint Action Committee (JAC), comprising various Muslim groups urged the Police Commissioner to grant permission for ‘Million March’ on Necklace Road on January 4. News had it that, the JAC leaders are now in talks with Owaisi to change the dates of the march as it came in a clash with Million March. Owaisi has already held a massive public meeting at Darussalam on December 22 to oppose CAA and National Register of Citizens (NRC) with the support of other Muslim groups.
